Your book ahead virtual visit will be covered by OHIP, just register with your Canadian Health Card information. If you don’t have a Canadian health card, you’ll be charged $65 out of pocket for the visit.

Once your appointment is confirmed a member of our medical team will call you during the window of your reservation or as soon as they’re finished helping the other patients in the queue.

If you have a OHIP card, or are residing in Ontario but have a health card from elsewhere in Canada, your visit is free of charge. If you do not have a Canadian health card (for example you’re a temporary worker, on a visa or a student). Now service you will need to pay $65 out of pocket for your visit. Your employer or school insurance plan may cover the visit, so you can submit for reimbursement after.

If you require an uninsured service, like a doctors note or a prescription for massage therapy, there will be a $40 charge for the visit.

Our team is happy to see you about a variety of issues and ailments. Whatever you would go to a walk-in clinic for, you can visit Cover Health.

We do not prescribe controlled or addictive substances nor do we treat medical emergencies; some examples include:

• chest pain
• shortness of breath
• stroke symptoms
• head trauma
• impact injuries

Appointments are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis. Higher than normal volume of appointments may increase wait times.

Yes. Our medical team is able to prescribe almost any medication, excluding narcotic & controlled substances. You can either have your prescription shipped by us directly to you for free, or we can send it to your preferred pharmacy.

Our team of physicians and nurse practitioners are entirely Ontario based at this time, with private practices across the province.

Telehealth Ontario is a service that connects you to a Registered Nurse for medical questions and advice. Unlike a virtual visit with Cover Health, they cannot offer an actual diagnosis, referrals or prescriptions.

Medical notes and prescriptions for paramedical services (physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care etc.) are all considered uninsured services meaning they are not covered by OHIP. The cost for any of these services is $30. Patients will be invoiced prior to receiving the documentation. Documentation will be provided upon successful payment of invoice.

Cover Health CAN complete:

• Institution Specific Medical Notes (ie. University medical notes)
• Hearing Aid Forms (Documentation from Specialist must be provided)
• Immunization Forms

Cover Health CANNOT complete:

• WSIB & FAF Forms
• Ontario Works and/or ODSP Forms
• Short Term & Long Term Disability Forms
• Fit to Fly & Medical Clearance
• Substance Use Assessment Forms
• Mask Exemption & Gym Accommodation Notes
• Attending Physician Statements
